Sweden or the Netherlands? Is there any country that would vote for him?

I think he's too far out there even for a morally decadent place like Europe.

only chance would be France, and he'd have to spout a helluva lot of anti-US stuff.

He'd beat Le Pen no doubt. The trouble would be getting to the run off.

there's probably somewhere that could elect him.  Hell, he could probably be elected into the US House under the right conditions.

Considering how badly gerrymandered districts are, there are a few seats that would be easier than Europe. Mainly, he'd have to tone down the feed the Christians to the lions bit. Anybody know if there are any districts where Christians are not the minority? Maybe in New York City, where there's a large Jewish, Asian, and Muslim population. Brooklyn sounds especially promising. Maybe also Hawaii.

No, most Native Hawaiians are Christians (missionaries hit them big time), plus the rest of the Asian population there is largely Filipino, plus most Korean and Chinese Americans are Christians. Of course he did say he'd put the feeding Christians to the lions thing on the backburner if he ever ran for public office, so he could still win.

He could probably pull it off in Nancy Pelosi's district though. Oregon-3 (home to Portland, EXTREMELY sex-crazed city) would fit him well too.

So, pretty much the only districts who would elect him are filth filled Central San Francisco and equally horrendous Portland?

Sweden is over 90% Christian, so that's definitely out.  The Netherlands is 52% Christian, so that's doubtful.  Perhaps the Czech Republic, given that it has the highest atheist percentage of total population out of anywhere, but even there, I somehow doubt that they'd like what opebo would have to say.

So, I'd say no.

No, because no European country elects PMs. Instead, they get appointed.

He couldn't get to be PM without changing a lot of his views again (hey, it's not beyond his abilities). He might get into parliament - but that goes anywhere, easily, if he deletes some of the remarks he made here (not just the Christians to the Lions which any sane person would consider a joke, but the "Hey, I've stuck to the Third Way for 6 of the last 7 days, live off prostitutes in Thailand, and talk them out of using rubbers" stuff)

Sweden is 90% Christian because we had a state church until 2000. Otherwise the number would be lower. Anyway, no he wouldn't get elected here, I don't think. The Swedish voters dislike egoism and rudeness.

No it wouldn't... not all of Portland is in the 3rd...

As you will note, *most* of the downtown and yuppy areas are in the 1st... which he couldn't win either (but for different reasons).
Interestingly enough, the 3rd is very blue collar for an urban district.

In France probably (and I'm half serious), not in Sweden, they are prudes. Prostitution is illegal there.

Don't forget the Berkeley- and Oakland-based district - Barbara Lee's, CA-9. They'd enthusiastically support each and every one of his positions.

He couldn't win anywhere where people voted, and there was more than just him.

San Fran, like most extremely wealthy areas, is pretty clean. What do you have against Portland?

Why would less people be Christian if there wasn't a state church?

Because one of the things that occurr with a state church is that everyone get's auto-registered from birth, unless their parents bother to officially exclude themselves. You also pay a church fee that is automatically deducted from tax and goes to pay your funeral, weddings, etc.
