Shostakovich's delightful and uplifting 14th symphony.

Just because one of the movements is titled "The Suicide" and another "The Poet's Death" doesn't make it depressing... eh... um...

Bruckner, Symphony No. 2 (1872 version). A bit of an acquired taste, I guess.

Yesterday I listened to Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony, some Woody Guthrie stuff and some English folk music. But not all at the same time, obviously.

Finally got my hands on a CD of Shostakovich's 15th Symphony today. I like it. But then I do have strange tastes.

Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky Cantata.

Bearing in mind recent events, perhaps I shouldn't have admitted that.

Mahler's 3rd Symphony. Brilliant, but Good Lord is it long.

I don't know why you say that; it's an uplifting work of great happiness.

I made the great mistake of listening to a collection of 20th century "classical music". Now I'm listening to Mozart to soothe my poor ears.

Hmm. What "20th century classical music" in particular was this [qm]. Important to know, in order to tell if you're a hp or not.

Das Lied von der Erde, again. Often listen to it when not feeling well; not sure what that says, hah...

Earlier today I listened to a CD I bought a few weeks ago titled "Folk is not a Four Letter Word 2". Some good stuff on it, actually. Recommended. If you like that sort of thing (and I do).
