I've put my pick for every senate seat coming up (well I had to make up a candidate in Indiana...) in the sig.  Except to see it change over the the coming weeks should other candidates look better to me, or if my current picks lose in primaries.
Also the rows roughly show who I think has the best chances of winning, so there may be some moving around on the rows too.

I seem to notice a pattern in, um, everywhere.

If Cardin wins the primary I'll switch it to him.  Right now I want it to be Mfume.

Because you want the Republicans to win the Maryland Senate seat...?

Maybe because he hates white people.  That seems to be Mfume's platform.  He's a disciple of the black muslims.

You think Radnofsky will win the TX Senate seat? Or is this just nominees? Or can I have some of that?

PS where's vermont?

Aside from character issues (PBrunsel cited one), there's nothing wrong with him if you agree with his policies.

However, I'd strongly recommend switching him with Ben Cardin.  Or if you really insist on Mfume, then I'd switch his position on your grid with McCaskill of Missouri.

I'm assuming this is nominees.  Unless he thinks Utah and Wyoming are going to switch. Undecided

Vermont (Sanders) is right in the very center of the grid.

well I don't think that really matters as far as being a candidate goes.  Shame on him though.

This is the 33 nominees, or possible nominees in some cases.  I figure all the top row will win, and most of the 2nd row.  McCaskill's and maybe Ford and Carter are the only ones I'm letting myself hope for on the bottom.

Fathering five children with five different women doesn't tell you anything about his character, or appeal to suburban families?

Cardin is a far superior candidate.

OK.  But if it were up to me, I think I'd pick Mfume.  Of course I don't live there, so I can't be sure.  But at a glance, it seemed that I would rather have him.  I didn't really take into account electabilty.

Mfume is an alright fellow. He doesnt bother me much. I think Sanders' odds are better than middle, though.

Mfume is obviously the more progressive candidate.  He does have some character problems though.  Out of wedlock children, race-baiting, 'intern issues' while at the NAACP.  On the other hand, he's lived one hell of a life.  He went from a high school dropout and street hustler/gangster to congressman and head of the NAACP.  He's a prime example that people can turn their lives around if they put their mind to it.

Just curious

nah, just the rows in general

Originially I was going to set it up that way but some of the names are too long and I just had to fit it together however I could.

1)no. Not without a lot more detail. 2) yes. Yes it does.

In my view, Stabenow belongs in the middle row a lot more than Sanders does.

Or Conrad.

Or (If you read DailyKos), Lieberman.

It's just that Sanders is one of the 5 biggest locks out there.
