Horrible person. John Paul Stevens is the least principled member of the liberal bloc on the Supreme Court. His decisions are (unlike, say, David Souter's) extremely arbitrary and often inconsistent: consider, for example, his support for almost total freedom of speech in many cases on the one hand, but his opposition to the right to burn a flag on the other.

Stevens is a knee jerk liberal who has no regard whatsoever for the Constitution and believes it is his purpose to implement the liberal agenda.

He has shown considerable skill in manipulating O'connor and Kennedy.
