In honor of all these opinion polls, I wonder what everybody thinks of the California Raisins?

I guess you're right.  This is really just a parody of all these 'opinion of' polls involving people I've never heard of, or don't care about.  In that sense then, it fits perfectly, as intended.

Saw them briefly on TV when I was little, probably a tad after they "boomed"...okay I guess...

for a bunch of grapes, they look like they've seen a bit too much sun...

Whenever I have one of those tiny boxes of raisins, I gulp them all down at once. So freedom fighters.

Am I a little older than every one else here because I actually remember the California Raisins from when I was a kid.

And any way they are true Freedom Fighters. Come on how can you be a motown singing band of raisins and not be Freedom Fighters?

We like 'em.  Buy a 32-oz. box of Sun Maid California Rasins about once a week in my house.  Seriously.  Good stuff.  I like those singing raisins from the 80s too.  Also, I have a T-shirt from a blood drive (you know how they give you free Tshirts and free red meat when you donate whole blood) which has a purple guy shaped like a raisin giving purple blood saying "I gave it through the great vein" on the front.  Now that's a reference to a very old song.  Before my time even.  But I do know the song.  But yeah, raisins we like.  Especially california Sun Maid Raisins in the big round paper can.  Most of you will pay about five dollars for the can, since you like to protest Wal Mart.  I get them at Walmart for $2.38.  And my wife and I have convinced ourselves that they taste just as good from Wal Mart as they would taste from the more expensive supermarket four blocks farther out.

They're not freedom fighters though.  Just a less evolved organism that my species uses for its subsistence, not unlike the way lions use zebras really.

Don't care much for prunes though, but the old lady likes them.

And one more thing:  Isaac Hayes kicks Marvin Gaye any day.
