He's making it clear that Democrats get a spine 2 years after they fail to become President.

Lol

This is just an attempt to appeal to liberal activists for his bid for President in 2008.

Yes, their support did so much for him last time.

62 million were so horrified by the thought of him that they voted for W

Sure, a negative campaign based upon mindless fear works, but Kerry still got several million more votes than anyone had ever gotten before.

And the liberal activists probably scared off the additional 1.5 million votes that it would have taken, spread across the country, to bring him victory.

Exactly

Pure speculation with zero evidence. They could have just as easily gained him an addition 1.5 million votes.

Kerry and his cronies opened the door for the swift boat guys with thier national guard bs.

The swift boaters were a bunch of liars, and Kerry's military records prove it. Of course, Kerry being a dumbass, he releases those records after the election.

Yeah, whatever happened to W's draft anyway?  You know, the draft that was sure to happen?  The draft that Kerry insinuated?  B/c that was the main reason people were wailing about Bush's re-election on another forum.

Fear can only do so much (Re: 59 million)

Saying that a draft might happen under Bush is nowhere as bad as saying "10 out of 10 terrorists support Kerry", when it's your damn adminstration that ignored a memo titled "Bin Laden determined to strike in US".

The draft that was originally introduced by Charlie Rangel (D-NY)?

Yes, that one.  The one that only D reps voted for. <scratched comment>

It had 15 co-sponsors and 2 yes votes, so obviously wasn't a serious bill..

Well, George W. Bush Used to post here for a time.

How do we know this is the real Kerry?  Is there a link to Kos from either his senate page or one of his campaign sites?  It reads somewhat like him, but I haven't time to analyze the style in depth.

I'm not saying it isn't him, I'm not saying it is.   I have no problem if John Kerry embraces the modern age and blogs, I just tend to be skeptical about sources of information - particularly when they come from political blogs - and don't like to treat information as fact until I have sufficent reliable information confirming it.

It's been confirmed.
