I hate the freedom of corporations to manipulate workers.  I hate that most definitly.
As long as the workers consent to being "manipulated," I don't see why anyone else (including the government) should be bothered.

Furthermore, why should I be stopped from trading with someone in Canada, merely in order to benefit some worker? Why should my freedom be sacrificed in order to protect someone else's job?

Nay, of course. Free Trade Agreements are horrid things that should never be used. Ever.

Probably aye, not sure though ... or rather: I would have done what I felt Mexican workers wanted me to.
Certainly nay if in Canada.

The workers don't have a choice.  It's the only way they have to take care of them and their family at all.

It's pointless, Preston. You're talking to Mr I Don't Care About Reality.

They may rely on private charities if they please: but surely, they are not entitled to take away my freedom for their benefit.

The past 10 years have proven that passionate zealotry is a more effective political posture than all moderate ones, including the "third way".

There's not much of an argument against NAFTA left after 12 years of it.

Really?  I'm sure the same arguments that were suggested at the time of its inception still apply.
