Neither.

In some cases, those polls are just humorous and the people making them are just having a good time. 

In others, the person making the poll has a malevolent message that is being put across in a stupid, myopic and ignorant manner.  There is one poster in particular who does this on a regular basis.

I tried to make a subtle attempt to change to a more suitable axis with my George Washington poll (positive-neutral-negative), but it hasn't caught on.  I really hate the FF/HP labels.

Stupid people who make polls that over-simplify the lives of people by calling them either "Horrible People" or "Freedom Fighters" are clearly horrible people.

I'm not sure about the non-stupid people who do that, though.
