Haha, this guy is a total idiot! I just watched his questioning of Janice Rogers Brown on C-SPAN.org.

He said that because the Equal Protection Clause does not outlaw affirmative action, the California constitutional provision doing so was void on account of the Supremacy Clause.

Sounds like jFraud-level reasoning.

He's an ok senator....I'll say marginal freedom fighter, although according to the topic of poll it's a choice between "opinion" or "arlen specter"

Moderately a freedom fighter, he is a massive pain in the ass to his own party -- in this way, he's even more dangerous to them than Lincoln Chafee, as Chafee's just a liberal but not very vocal.  I'd have voted for Specter over Hoeffel.

Really, I'm in between.  I love his moderacy; I think that his voting record is outstanding, and I like the way he is an independent thinker.  However, I don't like it when minorities (in this case, Jews) belong to the party that is against our interests.
