However, both Baxley and Siegelman are leading in head-to-head matchups against Roy Moore.  Unfortunetly, they don't have any primary numbers.

Riley will win this race fairly easily.

No numbers on a hypothetical Riley (R) vs Baxley (D) or Siegelman (D) vs Roy Moore (?)- that would be interesting Smiley

What's the probability of Moore running third party if he does not win the GOP primary?

This is actually a good bit closer than I expected, considering.

When Bob Riley's approval ratings were in the toilet, he was narrowly behind or tied.  Siegelman was behind, actually.  Now, his approval ratings are generally positive and he is only ahead by 7.  I would have guessed a larger margin.

In any case, this is still a fairly solid GOP seat, and I doubt Roy Moore will be an issue.

Is Don Siegelman Jewish?  He sounds like it, which means it's quite an accomlishment for him to have been Governor.

So it seems the GOP will control the governors' mansions of every state in the Deep South from Texas to Florida and South Carolina, while Democrats make inroads in the Upper South and the border states.
