Basically, the King's candidates won everywhere. It was obviously a joke show election. Time for the US and India to now drop all support to the Nepalese reigme and let the commies remove the problem.

So the commies are going to hold free and fair elections?

They say they want to set up a multi-party democracy. And remember, their rebellion started once they were dropped off the ballot. Prior to that, they ran like any other party.

They were fewer candidates than seats to fill ... and nobody decent ran, or in fact voted ... you seriously call this an "election"?

As to yr question, Beet... depends whether you're talking the Communist Party or the Maoists.

In the first case, yes, obviously. Any other suggestion betrays a complete lack of knowledge of Nepal and India.
In the second case, no. They're Naxalites. Basically their whole point is to abolish government by making the country ungovernable, not to take over central power themselves.
