Weicker should run as a Democrat and challenged Joe in the primary rather than as an independent.  Lieberman's lowest approval numbers actually come from Democrats, so Weicker would have done best among the liberals than any other voting bloc.

I think Lamont will give Joe a real challenge in the primary, but Joementum will almost definitely win.

Weicker would never run as a Dem though.

I agree on both points.  The latter is unfortunate, and even still, I'm hoping that Weicker runs in the general.

The only people who know about Ned Lamont right now are those who read internet blogs and the CT Democratic insiders.

The average Connecticut Democrat has no idea who he is. I expect the primary to be very tight.
