I figure we need a separate organization for Atlasians that vehemently oppose the establishment of anything remotely resembling a monarchy.

Here it is.

While I do vehemently oppose the creation of a monarchy in Atlasia, I will not endorse an organisation which holds the tyrannical dictator, who inflicted so much suffering on Ireland, Oliver Cromwell in high esteem.

Don't worry. Myself and Dave don't like Cromwell either, but he's just a figurehead Smiley

I'd prefer an inanimate symbol for the Atlasian Commonwealth Society all the same:

Andrew, if you have time Smiley, it might be worth making one

Since I'd prefer there be no monarchy in Atlasia, I'll join, although I will obey the wishes of the people if they choose to have one. Wink

Who has seriously talked about creating a monarchy?

Take a guess. Who would think positively about adding more useless positions on the off chance that he could become King?

While I don't care about a monarchy, any society supporting the best head of state (by several zillion percent, not that that's hard) the UK has ever had can count me in.
