Being There - It was okay, my biggest problem with it is that it was so slow

Saw Toy Story 3 AND Knight and Day today.  Toy Story 3 was awesome of course and Knight and Day was fun in its own way.  Not award winning by any means, but it served its purpose as a ridiculous summer adventure.  I can't wait for Inception.  Definitely plan on seeing that in an altered state of mind.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

It certainly didn't live up to the "worst movie ever" hype that surrounded it before it was released. It was decent enough for what it was... a dumb action movie. I see how it could have annoyed some hardcore fans but I'm not one of them.

Bigger than Life

Very good expressionist drama which is yet more evidence against the most absurd notion that American popular culture was deeply conservative in the 50s (okay the film was a flop on release, but still that it could made at all...American Beauty is pretty tame in comparsion). The Ending is very insane (in a good way).

Toy Story 3 (in IMAX).  It was honestly a great movie, and not a lot of 3rd movies can do that - it was very impressive.

Yeah, I liked it.  I remember liking Stagecoach a little more when I watched it several years ago  I think the designers of Red Dead Redemption watched a lot of John Ford movies.

Yes, I liked Stagecoach as well, that one is also known as being John Wayne's leap from obscurity.

In the last 3 days, I've gone a Tarantino spree- I've watched Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Inglorious Basterds back-to-back-to-back, all for the first time.

Verdict? Pulp Fiction is by far the best of them, though I enjoyed the other two as well.

Among "real" movies, probably Gran Torino, which was good. I hadn't seen it before then.

Toy Story 3.

Simply put, fantastic.  The series in of itself will be one of the majour things that will define my generation.  It is an emotional, enthralling tale of plastic crap exemplifying the very human obstacles of love, loss, friendship, loyalty, and most importantly, moving on and facing death.  Marvelous end to an exceptional saga.  Well done, Pixar, Well Done.

I saw two the past day.

Book of Eli. The Messenger.

Stories were somewhat eh in both, but the acting made them both interesting and enjoyable.

Wolfman.  Hilariously bad.  I hope they paid Del Toro and Hopkins well.

Factotum.  Matt Dillon was an excellent Henry Chinaski.   It was not as funny as Barfly but I think a more realistic portrayal.

Did you see it in 2D or 3D? I could have seen it in either for free but I went with the 2D, which looked great. I'm so tired of the 3D crap.

2D.  3D is a waste of money for the movie, and if you watched it in 2D anybody would realize that.

"Food, Inc." - needed to be longer, probably three hours, didn't build its' case very well, the only redeeming quality was the way it slammed Monsanto. Didn't know all that about how they worked, if true it's then it is somewhat disturbing. It seemed like when I was watching that movie when they finally started getting rolling on an interesting point they shifted gears and moved on to something else. A good movie for conspiracy theorists though.

"Wal-Mart : The High Cost of Low Price" - total garbage, one sided, boring (fell asleep halfway through). Basically it was a glorified hit job that failed miserably.

"Supersize Me" : An unrealistic experiment with predictable results. While I found it interesting, the results were not really surprising. meh.

"Loose Change" : watched the first twenty minutes of it, lost interest and turned it off.

Thank you for the creation of Net Flix!
