The Social Network - wow.  It was absolutely amazing; Timberlake did an excellent job, so did Eisenberg.

I just saw this today, too.  Excellent dialogue and great performances by all involved.

Looks just like a role reversal Twilight.  Why would you even bother to see it?

The Social Network - best movie of the year.  Strong performances from all involved, especially Eisenberg, although I actually thought the guy who played Eduardo was the weakest.

One thing that struck me when I saw it the second time: What exactly did Parker do for the company? Eduardo wasn't joking when he said suggesting to drop the "the" was his biggest contribution because that is pretty much all he did in regards to running Facebook.

He raised a ton more capital than Eduardo and had the insight to go to the hedge funds.  All the characters were both heroes and villains in their own right.

The Social Network - best movie of the year.  Strong performances from all involved, especially Eisenberg, although I actually thought the guy who played Eduardo was the weakest.

Eduardo was a weak character.

Uh, it's actually a remake of a far superior Swedish film which is based on a book that predates Twilight. The movie actually predates the Twilight movie too.

And based on the trailer it completely missed the point of the original since it made look like just another generic bloody slasher horror movie.

I'd agree that his character had the weakest writing but I still don't think he was as strong an actor as Eisenberg and Timberlake.

I actually thought what the female lawyer said to Mark at the end summed up his character perfectly.

I realize that.  Remakes suck and one in a post-Twilight movie world about a Twilight-similar premise is bound to be a piece of sh**t.  Or at the very least, feature untalented, hammy horror film actors.

The entire movie didn't make much sense. I didn't know what it was about going into the film and I'm still fuzzy on the details cause I didn't even stay till the end. All I know is that the freaky little girl is a Vampire/Monster hybrid thing. That's....about it.

I saw The Girlfriend Experience on mom's satellite - it wasn't a very good movie, but I liked it, and liked Sasha Gray in it.  She can only barely act, but is so far above most porn actresses in her acting that it is impressive.  I even talked the movie over with a hooker I visited with the very next night!

(you'll be happy to know I have escaped the Bad Place unscathed however).

Nowhere Boy

One of my favorites of this year, for sure (although I admit I'm biased). It was very good though and Aaron Johnson is becoming one of my favorite young actors.

I saw Paranormal Activity 2 at the midnight showing earlier today. It was much better than the first one (which I also liked a lot).

Has anyone heard of Four Lions?
It's not showing here (at least not so far Sad ) but I just read about it, and I'd certainly want to see it.

I watched the first half of City of God last night and can't wait to see the rest of it today.  It's been pretty cool so far.

The Baader-Meinhoff Complex.

This is basically the type of movie I've always wanted to see made. It has its strong points and was quite interesting. However it also felt kind of jumbled, partially due to the real life story no doubt but there was a lot of stuff that didn't flow well. Furthermore the ending was very abrupt and not really an ending at all, it was almost like they decided "There's no really no satisfying way to end this story so we'll just stop here." at a pretty random part. Recommended if you're interested in the RAF, but be aware.

A very good movie, I try to watch it at least once a year---mainly to look for my friend who was in the core Reenactor group!

As for me, I just finished re-watching Dear John, and am currently watching Labyrinth with my girls---it's one of my guilty pleasures!

Yeah it was quite good. Also the George Lucas Labyrinth?
