Swearing in of New Officeholders

I, Purple State, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of Member of the Mideast Assembly and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Atlasia, and of the Mideast Region, so help me Dave.

I hereby resign the office of Assemblyman and Speaker of the Assembly of the Mideast, effective immediately.

That wasn't very Midwestern of you. Anywho, now that you're governor and I've given you your education numbers (), get to work.

I don't believe re-elected incumbents are required to swear in again.  At least, those were the rules when I was a Senator, maybe the new constitution changed things?

We didn't change language in that regard, so prior precedent should stand.
