You're such a hack...

Eliot Engels is far superior. Just look at his moustache

Plus, he's got the balls to go on the Colbert Report.

Not to mention he appears to have amazing psychic powers with that pose.  I mean, that is the pose all the TV psychics do when they channel the dead.

Since I've more or less adopted Georgia, I'd say Sanford Bishop or Jim Marshall

The Colbert Report's "Better Know a District" is absolutely brilliant.  So are his interviews with basically all public officials.  I especially enjoyed when he asked Rod Blagojevich if he was "the gay governor."

The Blagojevich interview was from "The Daily show" not the Colbert report

But Keystone Phil, who is your favorite Senator from Pennsylvania? Hmm? Smiley

For me, Bart Stupak (my Representative) and Carl Levin.

I've changed my mind since I responded to this question before.  Now I'd say:

CT: Rosa DeLauro (D)

Cummings, I guess.  Van Hollen is good too.

For the record, Im not counting Cardin because he's soon to be Senator.

Good choice, Harry!  He may be a ultraliberal Democrat's worst nightmare on social issues, but this guy is what we need in the South, a populist-leaning social conservative.  Taylor is pro-life, pro-gun, opposes affirmative action, supports the death penalty, and supports heavy restrictions on illegal immigration.  Yet he is also a staunch critic of the Bush Administration's fiscal policy, voting against the tax cuts and the 2003 prescription drug plan.

Flyers and the other social liberals may puke again at reading this, but I guarantee that if we had more Gene Taylor's in the party, we could be very competitive in the South.  Preston will be first to attest to the need for more Southern conservative populist Democrats like Taylor, as this variety of Democrat controls much of Arkansas.  It just goes to show you how big a factor economics can be in elections if we choose to downplay social issues.

Uh, Steve King is downright scary...

I'll take the whole Iowa delegation before him, particularly good ol' congressman Leach

No, his record on economic issues is pretty crappy too. Let's see there are 202 Democrats (counting Sanders), and he's 202nd on Education, Humanities, & the Arts, 199th on Health Care, and 191st on Housing? Pathetic.

This is America, people tend not to vary far from y=x on the Political Compass. Can we get over the myth of the populist already? Oh, yeah, his 3rd best issue is War & Peace, LOL.
