Pete Visclosky, I guess.  Julia Carson is liberal but kooky.  The there conservative Democrats are good -- Baron Hill, Joe Donnelly and Brad Ellsworth -- but still too conservative for my taste.

Of course, I'd take ANY of them over my Congressman -- the odious Mark Souder.

also, he's one of only six US Senators to support gay marriage. Not civil unions- marriage.

Who are the rest? I know there was at least five before the elections, but two of those (Lincoln Chafee and Mark Dayton) are no longer in the Senate. The other two remaining ones I know of are Ted Kennedy and Russ Feingold.

Hmmm..., not even close SCOTT GARRETT!!!

Bleh. The only New Jersey congressman to vote against the minimum wage increase. I'm an economic moderate, and I say that's disgusting. Fortunately, the odds are good that the 2010 redistricting will redistrict him into oblivion (his district will probably be split across a heavily GOP district out in Sussex and Warren where he doesn't live and two Democratic-leaning districts in Bergen and Passaic.

Will NJ lose a seat? If so he would hopefully be the one. Otherwise he could move to the new heavily GOP district, unless another incumbent is already there (Frelinguysen?)

My rep, Reichert is somewhat decent for a Republican, and I like McDermett, but my favorites are my senators, Cantwell and Murray, they both are excellent.

NJ isnt losing a seat in the next cycle. Garrett is on his way out anyway. 2 more terms and he's gone redistricting or not. Only need a credible, well funded challenger. Many have considered primary challenges too.
