JS enriches my life, Without JS this forum would be far less than it is. He adds his own perspective, with intelligence and civility; a rather unusual perspective   really, but then his life experiences are rather unusual in this day and age,  One other thing: I don't pick folks whom I admire based on their ideology. That says either something about the limitations of ideology, or the limitations of my insights, or both, or something. Maybe it attends just getting old. Maybe I just like and admire JS because he doesn't fit easily into cliched boxes. He follows his own compass. What can be better than that?

He brings a mostly positive attitude. He's pretty knowledgeable about politics but I don't agree with the way he forms said politics into his ideology.

Let me think about this for a moment...

1. Adds a reasonable amount of humour to his posts to prevent them from being dry without going overboard
2. Presents arguments to support his point of view, rather than ranting and being obnoxious and opinionated
3. Is civil and knowledgeable...

I think everyone would agree that adds up to better...

Any Gilbert & Sullivan fan is OK with me.  Yes, even the late William Rehnquist.
