That's really awful.  Even though he belonged to a third party, which I truly detest, Harry Browne was one of my political heroes, and it's truly sad to see such a great man pass!

Yes, he got 0.50% of the vote in 1996.  He's not the biggest vote-getter for the Libertarian Party's presidential candidates -  that was Edward Clark in 1980 - but from what I understand, he was (and is) nevertheless a hero of the Libertarian Party.

I think that Libertarianism is the purest form of evil fashioned into political ideology. The only good thing that I can say about libertarianism is that it is not anarcho-capitalism (although the two are synonymous in the minds of many). Libertarianism is the ideology of the dregs of society: asocials, drug addicts, drug pushers, hedonists, nihilists, relativists, liars, pornographers, prostitutes, avant-garde expressivists, perverts, criminals, race-mixers, ruthless capitalists, perpetual adolescents, feebleminded morons and various combinations thereof. You would be hard pressed to find a class of worthless degenerates that are not disproportionately libertarians, as the scum of the earth have the most to gain from lawlessness.

The very term libertarianism is a calculated dishonesty. It misleads people into believing that libertarianism is about liberty (which all reasonable people agree is a good). I sometimes see otherwise reasonable and idealistic people flirting with this ideology because of this. The libertarians equivocate liberty with absolute individual freedom, but that isn't liberty at all. That's license; the queen of the vices. License is a means for libertarians to actualize avarice; the king of the vices. Libertarianism is unique in that it is reprehensible at almost every level imaginable: it is devoid of metaphysics, it sows epistemological confusion, it is morally vacuous, it is culturally corrosive, it is politically regressive, it is historically facile, unjust, and economically destructive. I consider libertarianism to be a sort of barbarism; a childish hatred of organization and a revolt against civilization.

Dan-horrible person.  Wow, even Jake wasn't horrible about it, and he seems to hate us.  But still anyone passing away, even if it's a sports hero, former president, or activist is still a death.  You must be inhuman trash (in that you don't deserve the term human trash) to say such things after someone's death.

You must be inherently ignorant in that all you've said about libertarianism is a horrible mixture of straw men, abusive ad hominems, and non-sequitors. 

As for Harry Browne, he was the kind of guy who was very nice, very welcoming, and very knowledgable.  Anybody's who's ever listened to his shows (even without agreeing with his veiw points) can at least acknowledge that he was very well mannered and showed his listeners a lot of respect.  Even if you had said what you just did to his face, I don't think he'd retort with anything other than saying that your logic is flawed. 

In closing  get the fuck out of here.  You are the real monster.
