I hear it is a great place for girls, particularly along certain highways near the German border.

I was there in the mid-nineties for a month or so.. I enjoyed the food and beer.

Ah yeah, those stories. Yeah, they crop up in the German media from time to time as well... what actually did happen is somebody set up a scam in Cheb where VERY young girls were parading as prostitutes, and if anyone went in with them they were robbed and tossed out the backdoor, counting on the fact that pedophiles wouldn't go to the police because they'd be liable to be arrested as well.

Of course the reality of prostitution is usually a 25-30-ish woman who is there for the money, not an 8 year old girl there by force.  Alcon, remember, stories in the press are sensationalist, and do not tell you very much about reality.
