However the Democrats are going to have a hard time too as they are going to face the same problem. Here is the story of Election 2008

                                  Senator Thomas Lawerence

Senator Thomas Lawrence has had a distingused career in the Senate, first elected in 1980 he has been very active and very vocal in the Senate and has gained a reputaion as a maverick and a bipartisan among both parties. In his politcal views his support of Bush has been lukewarm for example he supported the presidents tax cuts yet has opposed his handling of the war in Iraq, Also he has critical of the President's spending polices and of his energy polices.

                                On The Issues

Health Care-Encourge private health care firms to provide low cost Health Care to those who can't afford it through tax cuts.

                                     Senator Franklin Lafayte

Senator Lafayte of Vermont is a rarity in todays politics, He is a Liberal Republican. He has voted repeatly aganst restrictions on Abortion, he has been supportive of Gay Marriage and Gay Rights in general, He has vocied concerns over Bush's polices on spending and lastly he was only one of two Republican Senators Former Senator Lincon Chafee being the other to vote aganst the War in Iraq.
Lafayte was Governor of Vermont for Six years in the 1990's and ran and won his Senate seat in 1998 currently he is serving his second term in the Senate with an approval rating of nearly 70 precent from Vermonters.

                                        Former Governor John Schroder

Former Governor of Florida John Schroder describles himself as a comman sense conservative who supports social conservatism as well as fiscal conservatism. He served as Governor of Florida between 1998-2006 and was fairly populor. He was also an effective campaginer for George Bush in the state in both Presidental elections and has worked hard since leaving the Governor's Mansion to get the Republican party back on it's feet after the Democrats swept the midterm elections in 2006.

Abortion-Only allow abortions to be preformed in the case of rape, incest or if the mothers life is at stake.

Gay Marraige-Signed into law prohibiting gay marraige with vast support  while Governor of Florida, However strongly belives that this issue should be left up to the states.

Gun Control-Gun control is ineffective do away with most forms of it.

Health Care-Try to lower the cost of health care through tax incentives.

Social Sercurity-Allow for social sercurity to be invested in privite holdings.

Foreign Policy-Work harder to spread Democracy in the Middle East.

War In Iraq-Stay the course.

                                     Governor Brian O'Cranston

Governor Brian O'Cranston is often refered to as the wondor boy of MA politics. He started his poltical stint running for the US House of Represenatives in 1994 for an open seat to which he narrowly won, However he was defeated in his campagin for relection two years later. Then in 1998 he ran for Governor of MA after Bill Weld resigned from the Governorship and managed to pull a surprise victory in the Republican primaries over Jane Swift and them went on to win the general election. He countunied many of Weld's populer and succesful methods of Governing during his time and office and was relected to a second term overwelmingly and left office in 2006 with high approval ratings.

                                         Governor Jeffery Daniels

Governor Jeffery Daniels of PA is considered a major player for the Republican nomenation for President in 2008. He also stands out as a unique canidate due to the fact that he first gained national attention in 2002 by upsetting Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell in the PA Governor's race and by being the second African American to be elected to a state's Governorship ever. In addtion he also gained Presidental prospect attention in 2006 when he was easily relected to a second term as governor and also due to his popularity and being credited as being innovative in the way he tackles many of his states problems. Governor Daniels has yet to commet on this but look for him to indeed do so.

Abortion-Stunchly pro-life and this includes anti-death penalty too.

Gay Marraige-Morally opposed to gay marraige.

Gun Control-Opposes gun control and sees it as ineffective in combating crime.

Health Care-Would like to see the nation move towards more health care investment but not universal health care.

Social Sercurity-Social sercurity needs reform but priviaztion is not the answer.

Foreign Policy-US needs to keep arggresive policy in dealing with rouge states and terrorists.

War In Iraq-Supported the surge.
