I motion that this legislation be brought to a vote given that it has sat dead for 3.5 days

You said you wanted to introduce another amendment along with the idea that I had so that's why I wasn't doing anything on it.

You made a contradictory statement and then I asked for a clarification. You gave me this:

Basically I still want 5 Senators to come from the regions and the rest to come from districts, not sure about how many districts though.

Absent you actually telling me how many districts you want, I am unable to actually write anything. I presumed you might eventually let me know, but since you hadn't I decided to push this along.

And by not saying anything I was going to allow you to decide about the districts because whatever you would have thought of I would have probably approved of anyway.

Nay, and I urge other Senators to vote this way as well. I would like to get the regional/district Senators thing fixed before we send it to the main vote.

I am neither telepathic nor your personal Jim'll-fix-it.

I would like to get the regional/district Senators thing fixed before we send it to the main vote.

Then please actually introduce amendments to that effect.

Aye on the motion.

This motion has failed. I'll be introducing my amendment when I'm in study hall today in school. I'm not really awake enough now to do it.

Here's the amendment, I probably could use some help on re-phrasing it so it sounds better.

Article I, Section 1, Clause 1 is stricken and replaced with:

1. The Senate shall be comprised of twelve Senators, each elected to a four month term. Five Senators shall come from each of the regions, the rest shall be elected from 7 districts.

I wholeheartedly support the amendment proposed by the good Senator above.  Regional representation is essential.
