Could someone add a technical amendment to the amendment of the Amendment?  What it literally calls for now is five Mideast Senators, five Midwest Senators, five Northeast Senators, five Pacific Senators, five Southeast Senators, and negative thirteen Senators elected from seven districts.  I know that isn't what is intended, but it is what it says.

I already asked for help on that and nobody responded.

There already are 12 Senators from the main amendment, my amendment is just changing the region part.

Proposed technical amendment:
The Senate shall be comprised of twelve Senators, each elected to a four month term. One Senator shall come from each Region, the rest shall be elected from single-member Districts.

Now that that is over I have one more amendment to introduce.

Article I, Section 4 Clause 1 shall be amended to read:

The Senate shall be divided into two classes, Class A, regional seats, which shall comprise all Senators elected for terms beginning in February, June and October, and Class B, district seats, which shall comprise all Senators elected for terms beginning in April, August, and December.

What does it currently read?  I'm not sure how this is different.

All the old version doesn't have is the "regional seats" and "district seats" in it. This just makes sure the regional and district seat elections take place at the same times they do now.
