He's not real, yes. But he is an interesting and understandably controversial character.

Anyway, I say despite many flaws, he was a freedom fighter.

Freedom fighter. He was fighting what was actually a oppressive, freedomless regime.

A fairly respectable letter, no doubt.

V is a freedom fighter because he is a conservative(he hates government).

Wasn't it the 'party', that had the oppressive regime called the Conservative Party?

I support his want for freedom, but the way he's going about it is truly horrible.

By techinal definition, he is fighting for freedom, but he is just too horrible a person for me to care.

I just saw the movie on Friday. No doubt he was a flawed individual, but I voted freedom fighter.

Somalia isn't a sh**tty country becuase it is an anarchy.
Somalia is a sh**tty country becuase it was even sh**ttier when it had a government.

I heard the head of the party in that movie was supposed to be Maggie Thatcher.

She was a male?

Yes, it's true that the influence for the regime in the graphic novel was the Thatcher era but not for the film, it's just the Conservatives that set the seed in the film.
