Holy crap! Australia beat Canada this morning! Sad Sad Sad

An interesting note. The Australian skip is originally from Ottawa, and the Aussie team fequently practices here. The Canadian skip also is from the area, and is a member of my club. The Australian coach is also a member of my club. Smiley Also, the Finnish skip, Markku Uusipaavalniemi (who may not play because of an injury) also curled out of my club a few years ago Smiley Smiley Smiley

Sweden's ladies are the best in the world, but on the Men's side we haven't been up to our usual standard lately. Sad

It is a cool sport, I hope team Carlsen can do ebtter than team Lindholm did towards the end.

What's up with the Lindholm team anyways? They used to be pretty good.

Saw 'Millikin' and went 'hmmn...could that be Hugh Millikin?' turns out it is.

I vaguely know of the skip of the Australian team (i've been doing some letter stuffing and that name stuck in my head).

Here are the standings going into the last draw

Murdoch (SCO)     8     2
Fenson (USA)    7    3
Ménard (CAN)    7    3
Ulsrud (NOR)    7    4

Eh? I shudder to think how horrible curling would be if you couldn't see anything that was going on.

What's horrible was the announcers were horribly biased in favour of the US. A buddy of mine sent them an email cursing them and they actually commented on the email on the audiocast. (including giving his name).
