Article II, Clause I of the Midwest Constitution shall be amended as follows:

The election of the Governor shall take place in the months of April, August and December on the Gregorian calendar. In the months of April and August the election will be held on the third weekend. In the month of December the election will be held on the second weekend. The election will begin between 12:00 PM Central Time Thursday and 12:00 PM Central Time Friday.  The starting/ending times will be announced by or on the Tuesday before the election by the Governor.

Oddly enough, the current constitution has nothing about special elections.

Just to note that this will need the signitures of 4 Midwest citizens to get ballot access, which can include that of the proposer.

The amendment seems reasonable to me, just one question though. Should the amount of time allowed for the election be a set amount, e.g. 72 hours?

Oops!  I swear I typed something to that extent, I must've deleted it or something.

New amendment:

The election of the Governor shall take place in the months of April, August and December on the Gregorian calendar. In the months of April and August the election will be held on the third weekend. In the month of December the election will be held on the second weekend. The election will begin between 12:00 PM Central Time Thursday and 12:00 PM Central Time Friday, and will end 72 hours later.  The starting/ending times will be announced by or on the Tuesday before the election by the Governor.
