Easily the first one. Hell, I'd rather a Braves win this year than GOP wins for the next twenty years.

Though it'd be great for the Pistons to win (which is quite likely), I'll have to vote Libertarians (a LOT less likely)

Considering there is most likely not going to be an election this year; and considering my team hasn't won since 1954; have to go with the Western Bulldogs to win the AFL Premiership.

My vote will be the same next year, when there will be an election (unless we have one this year, of course)

2006 is out of the question... unless we're talking of the cup, which is distinctly possible. Who cares about politics anyways? Since when is this a politics forum?

Well, I've had two championships within my sports fan "career" of teams I really cared about, and the Orioles are so bad I'd be satisfied with a winning season, so I'll go with taking back the House and Senate.

Celtic FC have already one the championship. So seeing the Dems take control in November would be a bonus Smiley

A.   it would be awesome if the Tigers won the world series

the Pistons and Red Wings both have a great chance

I've been a Detroiit fan since I was a kid.  It doesn't look like the Tigers are going anywhere, but if the Pistons and the Red Wings both were to win their respective championships this year I'd be a happy man.  But a Democrat Congress?  I'd have to think about that.  It was pretty sorry during Clinton's first two years.  I can live with the Spurs and the Stars.

The second choice. Politics is clearly more important than sports in the grand scheme of things.

But on a forum like this, I would expect the results will heavily bias in favor of option 2. In the real world, most people (especially men) would probably prefer option 1.
