Wow, strong result for Doyle. +12

Also, looks like Blagojevich is pulling out of his hole, only -2 in this poll.

That's quite a spike for Schweitzer.

Doyle's numbers went up because he actually did something good, he signed harsher child molester legislation. It'll only be temporary though, his numbers will sink back to what they were before in under a month.

Rendell is doing decently.  Granholm's in trouble though; thank god her opponent is a nobody/bad candidate.  I'm worried about her.

Ed Rendell has bounced impressively. Im proud of him, and he may be able to make this one relatively safe yet.

Don't get too excited. Head-to-head polls still show that it's close.

I'm glad that Christine Gregoire has improved in Washington, a +4% approval rating, although I know the polls don't seem to agree.

It's good to see that Blagojevich's numbers have improved somewhat since a couple months ago.

Blagojevich is on the rebound. Good thing.

What's happening to Mitch Daniels?

Yes, and it is about time that voters in Washington reconcile themselves to her after all she has done for them if this poll reflects reality best in that state.

BTW, which polls on average do you think should be trusted more in relation to Washington state?

Note that Bush is sitting around the area Blunt and Kulongoski are. At least more than 40 governors are more popular than him.

For some comedy relief, here's the tracking graph for blacks' approval ratings of Schweitzer:

The margin of error in the last sample was 72.4%.

Looking at Gov. Kulongoski's dismal ratings (and they seem to be getting even worse as his re-election campaign gets ramped up), I still can't believe Oregon isn't being listed as a Republican pickup.

Actually, all of them.  Washington is a state that seems to poll nice and consistant among all polling companies.  If another poll is out-of-line with similar current polls, you can pretty guarantee that it's the one out-of-line that is likely wrong.

I have been saying that for the past eighteen months...

If anybody but Kevin Mannix gets the GOP nomination in May, Oregon will go Republican this November.  Angered Liberals will stay at home or vote for Ben Westlund (Republican Liberal turned Independent) or the Green nominee in  droves.  The Republican nominee (even if it were Mannix) has a great chance at winning.

It is the Republicans game to lose, in no small part thanks to Governor Kulongoski's incompetence.  There is a reason why he lost by the greatest margin of any major party nominee (for Governor) in state history (in '82).

Wisconsin has a very schizophrenic (sp?) opinion of its governor:

Actually, that kind of movement makes me think that this poll may be an outlier.  I'll probably think that until it's backed up with another poll that shows similar results.

Granholm will pull through. It will be close but the Republicans won't win this one, not with Devos. He's going to get killed in Southeast Michigan.

I think MasterJedi mentioned that Doyle signed a very popular bill of some sort.  Perhaps that is it.
