Not really, since Hitler never came out and said, "I am slaughtering a million Jews and you can't stop me, ha ha ha, white power".  The fact that Ahmadinejad is saying this leads me to feel it's actually less likely that he's planning to do anything in the near future.  If you have some sort of master plan to accomplish something diabolical, you don't let the entire world know exactly what it is and what you're going to do.  It's sort of like guys who go on and on about how great they are because they wouldn't be able to prove anything any other way.

Still, not taking his statements seriously and finding them to be dead serious would prove to be a much larger mistake than watching him closely and finding out you wasted your time.

Not really, since Hitler never came out and said, "I am slaughtering a million Jews and you can't stop me, ha ha ha, white power".

Not quite, but in "Mein Kampf" he proposed conquering Europe and expelling all the Jews (the Nazis in the 1930s considered shipping them all off to Madagascar). Not quite the same, but close enough.

I didn't say I don't believe him.  On the contrary, I said this in the post you just quoted:

All I'm saying is that it currently sounds like a bluff to me.

EDIT: I probably should phrase that differently.  What I'm saying is that it sounds like a bluff, but I'm also saying that we should act as if it were true just in case.

The difference between him and Hitler though was Hitler was actually the guy who was really in charge of his country.
