It will depend on how the pull-out goes.

Personally, I think that once the scheduled pull-out is done, Hamas is going to do a raid into Isreal, causing an "official" war between the two states, with Isreal retaining their stolen land and pushing out the radical Palestinian "refugees" once and for all.

A beautiful little country. however I am afraid that peace, which is what everyone wants, is far away. I think Olmert and the coalition is the best for now, however, I am very much aware of his past. In the early 90's he tried to overhaul Netanyahu in their struggle for the leadership of the Likud party by going even further to the right. A fact that still scares me. But so far I think he has handled the job pretty well.

Thats incredibly wrong.

Israel is the only liberal democracy in the Middle East besides Turkey (and their Islamist Gov't isn't an improvement). Israel is a thousand times better than the other devious Muslim countries that surround it. I have enormous respect for their struggle to survive in a hostile land.

Lots of empires are 'better' subjectively, than those they dispossess and oppress.  This does not change the fact that they are agressive, violent, warmongering empires.

Countries the size of New Jersey are in no way "empires". And Israel is less violent than its neighbors, who have attacked it throughout its history, so it must always be on guard.
