Since it doesn't look too likely Weicker will run at this point, who would you vote for in this scenario?

I'd vote for Ferrucci.

Of course, I'd vote for Lamont in the primary, and would definitely support him in the general if he were to win it.

The Reps will probalby support Lieberman because they know they can't win and that's who I'd vote for.

Lieberman is an excellent Senator. We need more like him in the Democratic party.

Lieberman is an excellent Senator. We need more like him in the Democratic party.

Your party is determined to run out anybody who shows any sign of independent brain wave activity.  And steadfastness on a national security issue is a sure way to get drummed out of that party.  Lieberman wouldn't have garnered half the opposition in that party engendered by his support of the Iraq war had he sworn allegiance to communist party.

I guess time will tell how Lieberman does in the primary. I'll be quite surprised if his vote percentage ends up being lower than 75 percent.

I don't agree that Democrats would be more happy with a communist than an Iraqi war supporter, though. That's obviously hyperbole.

Both parties do have a problem with being intolerant of anyone who doesn't toe the party line, though. It's pretty disgusting.

Probably Lieberman, though I'd consider Ferrucci.
