This is my stupid attempt for an alternate timeline where Richard Nixon got elected President of the United States in 1960. Please note that this is largely improvised... I just randomly picked names which sprung at my head first when I thought about a certain a election year and which seemed to fit. Cheesy In particular I'm very unsure about numerous of the running mates.

U.S. presidential elections, 1960-2004
(winners in bold)

1960
R: Richard Nixon / Henry Cabot Lodge
D: John F. Kennedy / Lyndon B. Johnson

1964
R: Richard Nixon / Henry Cabot Lodge
D: Lyndon B. Johnson / Hubert Humphrey

1968
R: Henry Cabot Lodge / Spiro Agnew
D: Robert Kennedy / Edmund Muskie
(note: Not surprisingly, JFK never got assasinated in this timeline... nor did his brother)

1972
R: Ronald Reagan / Nelson Rockefeller
D: Robert Kennedy / Edmund Muskie

1976
R: Ronald Reagan / Nelson Rockefeller
D: Edmund Muskie / Walter Mondale

1980
R: Nelson Rockefeller / Bob Dole
D: Edward Kennedy / Jerry Brown
(notes: Because he was occupied with his vice presidential duties in this timeline, he didn't have the time to have sex with his mistress in this fateful night in 1979, hence no heart attack; instead, Rockefeller died in 1983... while having a sex with another woman Cheesy; Dole takes over and appoints George Bush to the vice presidency, assuming that something like the 25th amendment was passed in this timeline, if not, the vice presidency remains vacant and Dole picks Bush as his running mate in 1984)

1984
R: Bob Dole / George H.W. Bush
D: Gary Hart / Bob Graham
(note: a particular scandal never happened in this timeline)

1988
R: George H.W. Bush / Danforth Quayle
D: Gary Hart / Bob Graham

1992
R: Howard Baker / Jack Kemp
D: Bob Graham / Robert Kerrey

1996
R: Steve Forbes / John McCain
D: Bob Graham / Robert Kerrey

2000
R: George W. Bush / Colin Powell
D: Robert Kerrey / Albert Gore
(note: this infamous event in Florida didn't occur... you know what I mean; and for some odd reason Gore decided to call himself "Albert" in this timeline, this explains why he never got the Democratic nomination Cheesy)

2004
R: George W. Bush / John McCain
D: John Kerry / Wesley Clark
(note: Powell decided not to run again as vice president, mirroring his decision in our timeline to leave the State Department)

2008
R: John McCain / ?
D: Mark Warner / ?
(the circle has to close somewhere Wink )

How come JFK never tries to run for office again? If he's not the president, i'd assume there would be no reason to kill him. I guess JFK would have been a better candidate than RFK against Henry Cabot Lodge.
