I don't know about the United States, but Britain, France, and other allied powers should have fought Hitler as early as 1936 when he was still weak rather than in 1939 when he invaded Poland when he was too strong to be defeated by either one of them.

You're right about that one.

Others include:

- Darfur (the Democrats Iraq War)
- Moro uprising in the Philippines
- Israeli War of Independence (though Israel keeps winning their wars, it might have set the regional balance back in the 40s and left the country alone once and for all)
- Cuba
- Columbia (to protect/preserve our Panamanian investment)

Nope can't think of much. Well maybe take on the Taliban earlier, take on Hitler much earlier, take on the Kaiser's mad genocidal pre-Hitlerite generals earlier (the man himself was very much a simpleton, but is personally largely blameless).

Oh yeah, I got one. Spanish Civil War. Entering that quickly would have prevented the Spanish Communists from ever rising far, btw.

Not really that we should have gotten involved, but following WWII we should have embraced the move away from European Colonialism and encouraged Democratically elected regimes instead of propping up puppet dictators.

Agreed. Letting conquerers gain strength until they become strong enough to defeat you is a stupid idea.

Though at the time, it wasn't really clear what was about to happen.

I wouldn't say that. The writing was on the wall, and Hitler kept breaking the clauses in the Versaille Treaty, so there was something of a Casus Belli present.

Entering World War II earlier; otherwise I can't really think of any. Perhaps Rwanda; I don't honestly know enough about the particulars of that one to be able to say for sure.
