My biggest ever win as Kerry.

Playing the new 2008 scenario, wherethe GOP is replaced by the constituion pary, and Kerr is incumbent:

Kerry/Edwards: 477 EVs, 68,704,406 votes (55%)
Moore/Baldwin: 61 EVs, 40,126,737 votes (32%
Cheney/Powell: 0 EVs, 7,710,898 votes (6%)
Dean/Sharpton: 0 EVs, 8,335,408 votes (6%)

Close States:

Alaska-Moore by 3.8% over Kerry
Colorado-Moore by 3.5% over Kerry
Pennsylvania-Moore by 2.0% over Kerry (Dean did really well here, 11%)
Kentucky-Moore by 1.3% over Kerry
Oklahoma-Moore by 0.3% over Kerry

Texas-Kerry by 2.8% over Moore
Kansas-Kerry by 4.1% over Moore
Vermont-Kerry by 4.5% over Dean
Indiana-Kerry by 4.7% over Moore

I won North Carolina by 50% somehow
I won NJ by 56%
I won RI 61%
I won DC by only 71%

Butb the biggest shock was winning Utah by 14% and Idaho by 16%!

I played as Breckinridge in 1860. I can never win. Only create a no electoral majority scenario. It goes to the House and Douglas wins every time. It says the house was Republican controlled. Why wouldn't they vote for Lincoln? That makes absolutely no sense to me. I can win Oregon and California as Breckinridge!

1988 scenario.  I pulled off a semi-landslide with Dukakis. Smiley

Dukakis/Bentsen 357
Bush/Quayle 181

I came within 1500 votes of winning NC and 5000 within winning Arizona.

*Note* I downloaded this scenario from the website called "Top Dogs - 2008" It has every candidate imaginable for each major party. It is completely fair, non-lopsided and accurate**

Rudy Giuliani: 453, 56% (I only lost Texas by 91 votes!)
Hillary Clinton: 85, 39%

As you can see, I totally owned Hillary Clinton...It would have been bad had she lost Texas.

I've been playing that game for about 2 years... I have gotten some seriously screwy results.

My best... I SWEAR I'm not lying

Gore/Edwards - 2004

Gore/Edwards - 506 - 58%
Bush/Cheney - 32 - 42%

How? I don't know.

But for some bizarre reason, I end up losing PA or even IL... but win KA or MS?

I was playing in the 2008 immigration scenario as Lamar Alexander playing against John Edwards, I was trailing for most of the campaign until I ran my adds everywhere and this is what I got!

Lamar Alexander 58% (72,527,126) 433 EV
John Edwards 42% (51,596,738) 105 EV

I've basically completely broken this game to pieces and only play it for comedic value or to try for ridiculously impossible results.

Like this one.

1992 - Clinton vs. Bush vs. Perot (me)

Perot: 538 EVs - 58% PV
Bush: 0 EVs - 19% PV
Clinton: 0 EVs - 18% PV

Best states - Perot:

Wyoming - 70.0%
Idaho - 69.9%
Washington - 69.7%

Best states - Bush:

Indiana - 31.5%
South Carolina - 27.8%
California - 27.2%

Best states - Clinton:

Alabama - 36.5%
Arkansas - 30.9%
Kentucky - 27.5%

I can give out the save file to anyone who calls shenanigans on this result. Tongue

Okay, even I don't know how I managed this one:

2000 - Gore vs. Bush vs. Nader (me)

Bush: 202 EVs - 34% PV
Gore: 173 EVs - 31% PV
Nader: 163 EVs - 33% PV

Best states - Bush:

Missouri - 59.4%
Idaho - 55.6%
Georgia - 55.0%

Best states - Gore:

Arkansas - 52.1%
Maine - 51.8%
Wisconsin - 51.3%

Best states - Nader:

Utah - 53.9%
New York - 49.5%
Oregon - 48.7%

States in which Gore got last place:

Colorado
Florida (lol)
Georgia
Idaho
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Massachussetts (??)
Mississippi
Montana
Nebraska
New Hampshire
North Carolina
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Rhode Island (???)
South Carolina
South Dakota
Texas
Wyoming

States in which Bush got last place:

California
Delaware
Illinois
Maryland
New Mexico
New Jersey
New York
Maine
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Washington
Wisconsin

My initial idea was to just camp in Florida in an attempt to create comedy by having Nader win Florida.  I sat there the entire campaign.  I made two positive ads about myself and two negative ads, one about Gore and one about Bush.  When they were all done, I ran them for as long as I could in Florida without running out of money.  Then I basically just fundraised until I could run ads in Florida again.  Then on the very last day, I blasted the entire nation with all four ads.  I completely failed at taking Florida, but I kind of succeeded elsewhere.  Every single state I won flipped to me on the last day.

The fact that the newspapers had headline after headline about scandals on both Bush and Gore probably helped soften both their bases enough such that I could suck off a lot of people in very short order.

And yes, I won Texas.

Congress elected Gore.

I don't know, blame the scenario. Tongue

I've created an electoral minority in 2000 with Nader before (although not with as many states won by Nader) and Congress always elected Gore.
