I think he will, although both will lose. Swann has a better chance at winning though.

No

Both share the same conservative and western base, and I think both will fare almost the same in November (as 2006 is looking increasingly like a battle between parties, not people).

I think he will, since he is a fresh face against a questionable leader, while Santorum is a questionable leader against a man whos conservative with name recognition.

No, they will both have about the same vote total. If anything, Swann would do worse because of people's concerns over his lack of experience and Diamond's candidacy (which could draw a good deal of conservative support because of fiscal issues).

No. Swann is a joke opponent, not a two-term incumbent.

It's very unlikely that Swann and Santorum will receive identical vote counts and percentages. I'm asking if Swann will do better period, even if it's only marginally.

By margin of loss?  Yes, he will lose by a much smaller margin.

Though Diamond may ensure that his actually percentage total may be the same as Santorum's.

I hope not because Rendell is better than Casey.

(D) Rendell 53%
(R) Swann 46%

Senate:
(R)Santorum 44%
(D)Casey 55%

I'm sorry but how could someone seriously think that any more? Do you think Harris will win too?

Maybe he's thinking about more than what's going on right now. There are more things to look at in this race than just what's going on five months before.

We're five months away, idiot, so anything could happen that no one could predict. People wrote off Wofford when he was down forty points to Thornburgh. Do you think anyone could have foreseen his fifty point boost?
