I'm not sure you're a registered voter anymore.

To the best of my knowledge of Atlasian law, I don't believe that being a registered voter is necessary in order to hold office.

I'm afraid any declaration after February 14 will not be considered for the ballot by the SoFA.

I think Smid, DWTL, jokerman, Ilikeverin and Verily will all have to do write-in campaigns.

Would've been nice to have gotten my question answered when I asked Wink  Don't blame you for not looking at this thread, though: I never looked either.

Oh well.  Isn't there precedent for putting Lewis's name on the ballot without a running mate?  I'm pretty sure it's been done if a Presidential candidate declares without a Veep, so why not vice-versa?

Sorry.

Lewis declared too late as well. You'd need to start a write-in campaign for both of you.

I think.

If no one else runs in the Mideast, I may consider a move there as well

So, you're considering running in both elections simultaneously?  If that isn't illegal, it should be.

Why?

Why???  Well, for starters, what if he wins both elections?  I mean, come on, it seems a little desperate.  I don't think Joe Lieberman should have been allowed to run for Senate and VP in the same election, either.

Joe Biden did it as well, after all.

I really don't see a problem with it. You shouldn't have to risk unemployment in case you lose an election just because you have the misfortune to have to run for both in the same year. That's an unfair disadvantage.

Al be my running-mate, or whatever you call it.

I need him to confirm that himself.

I will be running for reelection as Governor. (Just to make sure Franzl takes note, I declared very early this time around)

What do I have to do with internal Midwest elections? Smiley

Not true. As far as the Dept. of Federal Elections is aware, the deadline is currently 24 hours. Not 7 days.

The candidate declaration period for the Febrauary Federal Election expired about 9 1/2 hours ago.

The absentee ballot will appear shortly. (Note that anyone wishing to vote in it must ask for permission in the SoFE thread.)

You'll take what? The seat? You have to be elected in order to take that. You know....get more votes than the other candidates.
