I will be running for the Midwest region senate seat. Should the registration deadline have passed than I will accept write-in votes.

Well I'm already the RPP Senator of the Midwest and there's 3 RPP members in the Midwest. Not sure if we're going to have a primary or not now.

I am an independent, though senator Pit frequently mentions me as one of his "recruitees", so to speak, because I am libertarian leaning. Though I am officially registered as an independent.

Technically you are one of his recruitees as in recruited for the forum, whether you join the party or not is not as important as getting more people with similar positions to RPP in the game so they can potentially vote for some of our guys. He certainly has been one of the best party whips/recruiters ever.

I, GPORTER, a candidate for the dirty south senate seat in the speical senate election.

The dirty South Senate seat isn't up till late June. You are thinking of DWTL's vacant National Senate seate election on Thursday.

I will accept write-in votes for any office I am written in for. Wink

Considering you are currently tied with GPorter for PiT's Senate seat I feel just a smidge betrayed Tongue

I believe the seat will be appointed by Governor Inks. You can, however, run for the At-Large Senate seat.

As I said Bayh , maybe you better declare two just in case there is a special election.

There will be no Mideast Special election.

I am glad that has been sorted out.

How do you possibly get off calling yourself a "leftist"?  Name one left wing viewpoint that you hold.  Even if you can, you are more right than left, and you know it.

I am a little bit of a fiscal conservative, besides that, I don't hold any right wing view points. I favor the preservation of choice, am supportive of gay rights, desire environmental protections for biodiversity, have vehemently opposed taxes that disproportionately affect the poor, desire health care reform, and am a fair trader. I have consistently opposed all religious nutjobs, only believe in cutting taxes during times of necessity (recessions), not just cutting taxes for the sake of cutting taxes. Let's be real, if we just campaign on tax cuts forever, pretty soon there will be no taxes left to cut, and I support a balanced budget mandate for at least 70% of budgets.

Then why are you in the RPP?

Yeah to be fair, you sound a lot closer to the DA than the RPP.

The DA would be more than happy to welcome him!

The LNF has nachos! Grin

The LNF has Xahar.

among other unesirables.

I don't think that Ben can be at this stage elected to anything, anywhere. No knock on Ben, of course.

I think his sentence ends in Sept, not sure about the day. If the election is in october he should be able and of couse just because he "runs" doesn't mean he has to be "elected", you should know something about that. Tongue

I'm not refering to the sentence, of course. Otherwise my wording would be different.

In that case, he is more electable then you, of course. Thats not saying much though.

Wasn't it you who asked him to it today? Or was that me?

Must have been you because the only thing I said about this was on AIM two weeks ago before my Internet was cut off which was to announce when he felt like doing it and not what anyone else wanted him to announce.

Even if he post padded his way to 200 posts he would still be barred from entering the Senate till mid November cause his account is only 30 days old not 60.

Actually, he's been on for a year and 30 days. Wink

Your right, I didn't bother to look at the year. How can someone be here so long and so few posts? So he can post pad to 200 and still run. Things may work out after all. Smiley

That was a rhetorical question. I was not there then, but perhaps current threads in another part of the forum are a part of the answer...

Phil explained it back in June in one of the Congressional Election board threads, I think.

I am a candidate for at-large Senator in December.

As you know, JCP PCP-ers will have my top preferences, but I'll vote for you as well

I am declaring my candidacy for Senate (in December).

Endorsed, we need more Libertarians in the Senate and I have always respected you. The best I can give you though is third nope fourth preference. We have three running already so there isn't much I can do for you.

I guess I'm not running in December for Senate.

You did the right thing. Take the next few months, continue to rebuild you reputation and try for something in Feb or April.

To be clear:

I do not accept write-in votes for the Senate seat in the Mideast.

(My own vote for myself was a protest vote Wink)

You know how much I would give you to change your mind. Wink
