This scenario if fortunately unlikely, but the most hideous and ugly one I could think of. Discuss. Here is my predicted map..

Quayle/DeLay - 39% - 254 EVs
Ferraro/Kennedy - 40% - 229 EVs
Moore/Sheehan - 21% - 55 EVs

The Moore campaign will base it's self in California and run a campaign that looks more like a run for governor if anything (kind of like what George Wallace did in Alabama). He will upset Ferraro in the state by under 2000 votes. After endless whining and 68 recounts the California FEC will declare Moore/Sheehan the winners of the state. This will secretly delight conspirating left-wingers because they will now have more material to center their crappy 9$ books around. The battle for the presidency goes to the House. They decide to uphold the tradition of the EC and elect Quayle to the presidency. The Democrats will then become obsessed with Ferraro's loss and try a draft effort every year until 11 years after she dies. Moore will make a documentary outlining the failures of the Quayle administration but forget to point out that he was on a campaign working against Ferraro and could have possibly been the one to cause everything he is complaining about. The democrats will then nominate some psuedo-moderate in the closet liberal for the election after and lose to Quayle again because they will spend more time trying to keep Michael Moore from running than acctually campaigning. Moore runs again, but get's less of a percentage than the amount the Dems will lose by...and thus they will have no scapegoat. Rather than party building they will just go back to complaining about the previous election and start up another Ferraro for president campaign for the year to come.

Well, the GOP ticket makes me sick, but the other two are quite pleasant Smiley

There is no way that there would be two different sane tickets getting much of the vote in a Presidential election. The sane people would unite.

Sane? That was the idea behind this scenario...there is not a sane person there to vote for.

Why would people like Ted Kennedy or Michael Moore compel you to move to Canada of all places?

Who is the Libertarian candidate? Constitution party candidate?

Else, I'd hold my nose and vote for Quayle.

The real thing you should analyze is the paragraph. This is mainly satirical of the 2000-2004 elections. This wasn't meant to be serious, haha.

I'd vote Quayle, though he is a horrible candidate. The Dem ticket is horrible and the Greens deserve to die for their evil.

That is foolish, Vlad.  One's immediate surroundings are always cleaner whereever one can afford more and better maid service.  As for how clean something one never touches is - like the street - who cares?

Anyway, Ted Kennedy would be a great president.. Ferrarro pretty good, and Moore and Sheehan would be fine too.

I guess it's also because I would never be able to have a glass of tap water again. Also, the crime rate in Mexico is several times higher than it is in Canada.

Quayle and DeLay would get my vote, and they would easily defeat the the non entity, the alcoholic philanderer, and the muck rakers they were running against.

Quayle/DeLay          345 EV 53% PV
Ferraro/Kennedy      193 EV 45% PV
Moore/Sheehan            0 EV   2% PV

I'm pretty sure a disgrunteled Air Force pilot fires a bunker buster at the debate grounds.

I actually like Quayle.

If Michael Moore won, I'd be applying for Irish Citizenship.

To each their own, but how could you like Quayle? He was the one vice-president that made Bush Sn. non-impeachable. "P-o-t-a-t-o-e, potato".

Ireland's nice though, I went last summer.

No, I think the worst scenario would be Tom Delay and Karl Rove, verus Ted Kennedy and Al Sharpton.

Quayle wouldn't be my first choice for president, but as "dumb" as he was, I'll never forgot how he got under Gore's skin in the 92 debates.

Quayle in himself isn't bad. But the thing is that if he dies, DeLay becomes President. Ditto for Ferraro and Kennedy. Moore/Sheehan is the best ticket by process of elimination.

Ferraro/Kennedy - 208
Quayle/Delay - 330
Moore/Sheehan - 0  (All they do is hurt the Dems)

*Sigh* Roll Eyes Vlad, p-o-t-a-t-o-e is obviously the right way to spell potato! Wink

Really, I think Dan is a lot smarter than people give him credit for.  What Eagle said does make me hesitant about voting for Quayle, but Dan will only be 51 by 2008, so I’ll risk it.
