I really wish there was something we could do to get Moore as the Republican candidate.

At this point, finding him in bed with a dead black kid is probably the only solution.

Yes, in Alabama, dead black kids do win you primaries.
(Sorry, couldn't resist.)

I'm a big Siegelman fan. The dream should live on, through Baxley at the very least.

Well, I'd prefer Baxley as the Democratic nominee
I don't tolerate Republican "crooks", so I sure as hell won't be tolerating Democratic ones

He's a good guy.
On October 26, 2005, he was indicted on charges of racketeering, bribery, and extortion, along with his former chief of staff Paul Hamrick, former state transportation director Gary "Mack" Roberts, and former HealthSouth CEO Richard M. Scrushy. The indictment alleges that bribes were exchanged in exchange for official favors from Siegelman during his term as Governor.
On December 12, the grand jury filed additional charges of mail fraud and conspiracy against Siegelman and Scrushy alleging that they conspired to provide HealthSouth with membership and influence on a state hospital regulatory board. Siegelman, his supporters, and his attorneys quickly pointed out that previous Republican governors had appointed Scrushy to the same board, and had received campaign contributions from Scrushy, but had not been investigated or indicted.

Well such an honorable man like Moore surely never committed those acts. He only murders those damned blackies that are ruinin' our country and rapin' our white women!
Moore + no dead black kid=24% in primary
Moore + dead black kid=98% in primary, 83% in general

I'm suprised Moore isn't doing so well. He had the support of 75% of the state during that whole Ten Commandments nonsense, and the far right hates Riley now for his attempts to reform the tax code making it more progressive.

Siegelman's not a crook...the US Attorney who brought on the charges just happens to be the wife of Bob Riley's campaign manager, and Siegelman's defense team rips every lying witness to shreds.
I'm proud to endorse the winner in 1998 [and 2002], Don Siegelman, who is much better than Baxley.
