I don't know about Gore getting the nomination in 1996. Lets not forgot that a few Dems who in reality, were cleared out of office in 1994, could have still been in the running. Gephardt, I feel, would have been involved somewhere, in order to challenge the Mid-West/Great Lake states which could have leaned towards Quayle, who's home state was Indiana (I'm having a Woody from Cheers moment here!...Hanover, America's heartland!) I dont think Gore would have been picked as a running mate again, I have a strange feeling about Bob Graham being looked at. What ever Dem won in 1996 would have been in a strong position to win in 2000, but I feel the Republicans would have gained office in 2004.

YEah I remember some dsaying how ironic the ongoing impeachment was.  The GOP wanted Clinton to survive to not let Gore in early and the Dems wanted Clinton to go to ensure Gore's election in 2000.

You know what would have benefited the Dems?  If Clinton has resigned in 1998 with the Monic scandal.  Then gore would have won in 2000 and had a good shot at re-election in 2004.  But America might get tired of ten years of my man Al.

America would have been tired of Gore if he had been president for 10 years, I'm pretty sure.

I agree.  A lot of people are tired or and have been tired of him and he wasn't President 10 Minutes.

America would have been tired of Gore if he had been president for 10 years, I'm pretty sure.

A Second Bush term (1993-1997):

_No Push Health Care Reform

_No Family Medical Leave Law(at least not in 1993)

_Brady Bill is Vetoed

_No Assault Weapons Ban in 1994

_NAFTA Still happens as it was a Republican brain Child, not Clinton's or the Democrat's.

_No Tax Increase in the 1993

_White and Blackmon are less likely to retire with Bush in the White House, so they probably hold on longer.

_The Democrats keep the House and Senate in 1994, but make minimum gains, and the GOP may make some  gains in state/local races though, particularly in the south.

_Somalia goes better, but is still not a smashing success

_The US probably intervenes in Rwanda. Bosnia might not see any intervention though

_No "Agreed Framework" in North Korea.

_A more liberal version of Welfare Reform Passes a Democratic Congress and is signed into law by Bush,

_A Democrat beats Dan Quayle or Bob Dole in 1996 by a respectable margin, and said Democrat is most likely re elected in 2000. The GOP retakes the House and/or Senate as early as 1998 but no later than 2002. The Republicans most likely win in 2004. What happens after is anyone's guess.
