"Suck eggs" - MD Comptroller to Ehrlich

The Maryland Comptroller is insane.  He's done stuff like this a lot of times before, including making female legislative aides parade before his hearings.  I've been supporting his Dem primary opponent Peter Franchot for personal reasons, but Schaefer's antics increasingly make him worthwhile.

From last week's Maryland Gazette:

Wednesday’s Board of Public Works meeting opened with first lady Kendel Ehrlich presenting State Comptroller William Donald Schaefer with a cake.

‘‘He’s got his cake. We’re hoping for a good day,” she told the crowded meeting. Schaefer had been ill.

After she left the meeting, her husband-the-guv joked, ‘‘The last time she made a cake was the second Reagan administration.”

Then he turned to the comptroller: ‘‘Glad you’re back. Hope you’re feeling better.”

‘‘Suck eggs,” Schaefer replied.

We hear Schaefer declined to share the cake — yellow with chocolate icing — with his staff.

lol.  Schaffer's a nut.  A couple of months ago he sexually harassed a young intern in front of a room of people and till this day has yet to apologize.

This guy has been in power for way too long, but by now he's a fixture in state politics. He seems like a naturally nasty guy; he didn't like Glendening either and has made some not so nice comments about immigrants and AIDS-victims. He also compared the entire Eastern shore to an outhouse.

Schaeffer is hilarious.  One of the few people I'll be actually voting for this year.  You can't write humor like he does.

I've kept tabs on this guy for a while; I find him hilarious in a fascination with the abomination sort of way.  So this is what I expect.
