My results from the Quizzilla:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

And from the Moral Politics quiz:

Your scored 2.0 on the Moral Order axis and -1.5 on the Moral Rules axis.

The following items best match your score:

   1. System: Conservatism
   2. Variation: Moderate Conservatism
   3. Ideologies: Capital Republicanism
   4. US Parties: Republican Party
   5. Presidents:  Gerald Ford (88.95%)
   6. 2004 Election Candidates:  George W. Bush (79.63%), John Kerry (77.79%), Ralph Nader (62.96%)
---------------------------------------------

Results from the Politopia quiz:

Centerville: You would feel most at home in Centerville, which means that you are more or less pleased with the status quo -you think the US government has just about the right amount of control over your economic and personal decisions. Your neighbors include Democratic and Republican party leaders, and others who call themselves "moderates" and "centrists."
------------------------------------------------------------

And from the Vote-Match quiz:

You scored the following on the PoliticsMatch questions:

Personal Score    16%
Economic Score    55%

Where You Fit In

Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy.

Based on the above score, you are a Populist Conservative.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the Advocates.org quiz:

ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,

The political description that
fits you best is...

CENTRIST

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 40%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 70%.
-------------------------------------------------

From the Millennium Test:

Your scores:

Radicalism:       50 percent

Tenderness:     51.5 percent

Socialism:       34 percent

These scores indicate that you are a moderate; this is the political profile one might associate with a regular person. It appears that you are neutral towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

To round out the picture, your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a political centrist.

-----------------------------------------------------------

And from the Typology Test:

Upbeat

Based on your answers to the questionnaire, you most closely resemble survey respondents within the Upbeat typology group.  This does not mean that you necessarily fit every group characteristic or agree with the group on all issues.

Upbeats represent 11 percent of the American public, and 13 percent of registered voters.

Basic Description

Upbeats express positive views about the economy, government and society.  Satisfied with their own financial situation and the direction the nation is heading, these voters support George W. Bush’s leadership in economic matters more than on social or foreign policy issues.  Combining highly favorable views of government with equally positive views of business and the marketplace, Upbeats believe that success is in people’s own hands, and that businesses make a positive contribution to society. This group also has a very favorable view of immigrants.

Defining Values

Very favorable views of government performance and responsiveness defines the group, along with similarly positive outlook on the role of business in society.  While most support the war in Iraq, Upbeats have mixed views on foreign policy – but most favor preemptive military action against countries that threaten the U.S.

Religious, but decidedly moderate in views about social and cultural issues.

Who They Are

Relatively young (26% are under 30) and well-educated, Upbeats are the second wealthiest group after Enterprisers (39% have household incomes of $75,000 or more).  The highest proportion of Catholics (30%) and white mainline Protestants (28%) of all groups, although fewer than half (46%) attend church weekly.  Mostly white (87%), suburban, and married, they are evenly split between men and women.

Lifestyle Notes

High rate of stock ownership (42%, 2nd after Enterprisers).

2004 Election

Bush 63%, Kerry 14%.

Party ID

56% Independent/No Preference, 39% Republican, 5% Democrat (73% Republican/Lean-Republican)

Media Use

Upbeats are second only to Liberals in citing the internet as their main news source (34% compared with 23% nationwide); 46% also cite newspapers.  No more or less engaged in politics than the national average.
-------------------------------------------------------

And from the Political Philosophy Test:

Progressive/Conservative Score: 2 - Conservative

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist Score: 3 - Capitalist Purist

Libertarian/Authoritarian Score: 4 - Libertarian-leaning

Pacifist/Militarist Score: 8 - Moderate-Militarist
-------------

You are a Republican
--------------------------------------------------------

And from the most recent quiz I have taken:

Your views call roughly the same amount of government with just a bit more liberty than we currently have in the United States today. Thus, your views are probably best served by a nearly equal mix of Democrats and Republicans in the legislatures, with perhaps a few Libertarians thrown into the mix to nudge things in the direction of smaller government.

Description

You desire substantially less government control of both personal and economic activity than is presently the case in the U.S. According to some definitions, this makes you a libertarian. According to other definitions, including the Libertarian Party's membership oath, the word "libertarian" is restricted to those who want considerably smaller government than you desire. Maybe some other term is needed for you, such as freedom lover...

The Republican Party fields a small number of candidates with your views, and the Democrats fewer yet. The Libertarian Party runs the most candidates with your views, though the party as a whole is more radical (in the small government sense) than you.

That said, there is a move afoot to make the Libertarian Party more inclusive. In fact, this movement was successful in getting rid of many of the most radical provisions in the Libertarian Platform during the 2006 convention. Check out the current LP platform to determine how it matches your views.

Approximately 22% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 31% for all libertarians outside the centrist circle.

Description

You like your government very, very small -- or none at all. You are a hardcore libertarian. Want to run for Congress? State legislature? Join the Libertarian Party and they'll put you on the ballot. And if you find the Libertarian Party to be too moderate these days, there is the new Boston Tea Party.

Approximately 9% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 31% for all libertarians outside the centrist circle.

LIBERTARIAN

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and

economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one

that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose

government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate

diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

The RED DOT on the Chart shows where you fit on the political map.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 90%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 70%.
(Please note: Scores falling on the Centrist border are counted as Centrist.)
