You want government out of people's personal lives, but you appear to desire some continued government control over people's economic activities. There is no political party that represents your views. The Green Party does run many candidates with similar views, but the overall Green Party platform is much more socialistic than you are. You would need a mix of Democratic, Green, and Libertarian politicians in office to get the balance of freedom and social justice you desire. The ratio between these depends on how high up your dot is on the chart.

Approximately 12% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 18% for all liberals outside the centrist circle.

Social: 80%, Economic: 40%

"Liberal"

You want government out of your personal life, at least to some degree. But you want more government in your economic life. Politically, you appear to be a solid Democrat, though you might also find the Green Party appealing. Approximately 3% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 18% for all liberals outside the centrist circle.

Marketliberal.org: Social 95, Economic 65; overall Left-Libertarian.

Enhanced-Precision Quiz: Left-Leaning Freedom Lover

You desire substantially less government control of personal activity and somewhat less government control over economic activity than is presently the case in the U.S. You are a moderate libertarian by some definitions; others prefer to limit the term "libertarian" to those closer to the top corner of this graph, so I use the term Left-Leaning Freedom Lover to avoid confusion.

Your views are probably best represented by the Modern Whig Party. Whether it gets off the ground is still to be seen. Or you might like my plan for starting a third party— useful for starting from scratch or reforming an existing third party. Finally, your views could be represented by a mix of Democrats and Libertarians in office.

Approximately 14% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area.

Marketliberal.org: Social 85, Economic 90; overall Libertarian.

Enhanced-Precision Quiz: Right-Leaning Freedom Lover

You desire substantially less government control of economic activity and somewhat less government control over personal activity than is presently the case in the U.S. I used to classify this area as part of “Moderate Libertarian” but since many libertarians use a more restrict definition of the word "libertarian" I now use the fuzzier term "freedom lover" to avoid controversy

Nonetheless your views would be best represented in theory by a mix of Libertarian and Republican representatives—assuming that it was possible to get a significant number of Libertarians elected. In the real world, you have a small chance of getting what you want if Ron Paul get elected, assuming you can deal with his isolationism and reactional agenda. Longer term, you might find my proposed new party more to your liking. Finally, I am working on a series of articles on success for libertarians which you may find useful regardless of party affiliation.

You are an anarcho-capitalist. 0 percent of the test participators are in the same category and 1 percent are more extremist than you.

So I'm an extremist now. How fun.

It's not dividing *by* zero. It's multiplying zero by a fraction. Tongue

I was reading it as though, "12 percent are more extremist than you" applied to all participants in the quiz - not just the <1% of people who were categorized as anarcho-capitalists in their results.

I agree.  I had to click "Not sure" for some (tax cuts, free trade, etc.) because the questions were so unclear and ridiculous.

http://quizfarm.com/quizzes/new/Leonstein/leonsteins-political-ideologies-quiz/

You Scored as Christian Democrat

Christian Democrats believe in taking the middle way. They feel it is their duty to God to make life as good as possible for as many people as possible, while preserving progress and political and economic stablity. You're most likely comfortable in a centre-right position, especially in Europe, alongside people like Angela Merkel. Wilhelm Röpke and Alexander Rüstow should be worth a look.

Christian Democrat
   71%
Paleoconservative
   58%
Fascist
   58%
Minarchism/Libertarianism
   50%
Anarcho-Primitivist
   46%
Anarcho-Syndicalist
   38%
Anarcho-Communist
   38%
Anarcho-Capitalism
   33%
Neoconservative
   29%
Theocracy
   25%
Stalinist
   25%
Nazi
   21%
Trotskyist
   17%

Obviously not a very good quiz, either.

Scott, what on earth is that quiz?

Example question: "35. Jewish people are overrepresented in positions where important decisions are made."

Anyhow,

You Scored as Anarcho-Capitalism
You're an anarcho-capitalist. You think that people know what's best for themselves and absolutely no one can tell them otherwise. You can take care of yourself, and you expect everyone else to do the same. You're happy to help others, but only because you want to, not because you're compelled to do it. Ludwig von Mises, David Friedman and Ayn Rand should be authors you enjoy.

Anarcho-Capitalism
   83%
Minarchism/Libertarianism
   75%
Anarcho-Communist
   67%
Anarcho-Syndicalist
   54%
Fascist
   46%
Trotskyist
   46%
Stalinist
   42%
Christian Democrat
   38%
Anarcho-Primitivist
   33%
Nazi
   29%
Paleoconservative
   25%
Neoconservative
   17%
Theocracy
   4%

And for the other one:

Neo-Liberal (Ted Kennedy) 100%
Liberal Democrat (John Kerrey) 93%
Moderate Democrat (Bill Clinton) 74%
Liberal Republican (Arnold of California) 69%
Neo-Conservative (Ronald Reagan) 69%
Reform (Pat Buchanan) 69%
Conservative Republican (Bob Dole) 49%
Conservative Democrat (Robert Byrd) 15%
Moderate Republican (George W. Bush) 13%

Scott's quiz was very odd indeed.

But for the record:

Anarcho-Capitalism   75%
Minarchism/Libertarianism 71%
Trotskyist   54%
Anarcho-Primitivist 54%
Anarcho-Communist    50%
Paleoconservative 50%

Christian Democrat   46%
Nazi   42%

Neoconservative 38%
Anarcho-Syndicalist   38%
Stalinist 33%
Theocracy   13%

Highlighted the ones that are unrepresentative of my views.

It's odd how they used moderates for their examples of a "Conservative Republican" & a "Liberal Democrat"...

You Scored as Neoconservative

You're a neocon, and not ashamed to say so. The furthering of democracy leads to peace, wealth and stability in the long term. There's no question that some governments are just plain evil, and that your government has a duty to stand up to them as a force for good. If you combine high scores in neoconservatism and theocracy, you are probably an extreme right-wing US Republican. Fukuyama's "The End of History" as well as the "Project for a New American Century" would be of interest to you.
