Massahusetts is amazing... Boston is great, and Amherst is one of my favorite college towns.

I'm sure Boston is preferable to anyplace else in New England, so I'll call it the best state in a bad bunch. Tongue

Ambivalent. It has great assets and great liabilities. I dislike the social anomie in particular, plus the horrific traffic. It also has a culture of flaunting wealth and conspicuous consumption that I loathe - a nouveau riche syndrome.

I don't hate states per se, but New York isn't really a place that I would want to live.  One, I like not having to wear a coat most days in the winter.  NYC is also just too big and fast-paced in my mind.  I just prefer the culture of the South and Midwest to New York and New England.

Having never been to CA, I'm inclined to say yes like a Democratic hack. Tongue

Massive HS on balance, of course, but it is a big place and there are parts that I like.

I like New York, and my parents are from there and my sister lives there. NYC > Upstate. Only gripe about NYC is the cost of living and the weather.

It's alright. It's definitely the better of the two Carolinas thanks to the research triangle.

The next poster can pick between PEI (a place I've never even been to) or California.

do you have a connection to PEI?  My Mom spent time with her Mother's cousin's family up there on their farm during the summers. It's a beautiful place; we went up there one time when I was a kid and I'd love to go back and see the lighthouses and red clay and rocky shore. I remember how neat it was to have homegrown berries and milk on my cereal staying on the farm there.  Only disturbing thing is when I was up there running around exploring the coast with my (third?) cousins and they made a game of smashing horseshoe crabs against the cliffs.

Neutral.

Warsaw seems like it would be a pretty nice city to visit though.

Massachusetts is a decent state. Voting against Nixon was a freedom state move.

My great grandfather was born in PEI; he was my most recent immigrant ancestor. I've never been there. I would like to visit some day.

Poor horseshoe crabs!

NY is great, but still doesn't even come remotely close to reaching 1/100000th of California's awesomeness.

Southern half needs to be depopulated/sold back to Mexico in an arrangement where we get Canada in return.
