I would love to visit New Orleans. I have to set foot in a Southern State besides Texas and Missouri.

It has NYC and upstate NY is quite beautiful.  I hate the machine politics and kowtowing to Wall Street.  But overall, I think it's pretty great.

California's a great state, and there's really a ton to see there. I'm not a huge fan of L.A., but San Francisco is awesome, San Diego's pretty cool, the Central and Northern coasts are both awesome in their own way. I haven't been inland at all, and while I imagine it'd be interesting to see, I'm not a huge fan of 100+ degree weather.

Italy? France? California? Damn you, Antonio, you're problematic.

Oh, you're one to talk about problematic.  Flip through a European history book and sometimes Poland is here and sometimes it's there, and sometimes you can't find it anywhere.  I guess it's FS, unless somebody else gets all uppity and wipes you off the map.

(I of course reside in the Isle of Orleans)

I'll go with Utah. I've had a strange fascination with the state some years ago.

Despite having one of the worst State governments in the country (though hopefully that will change after November! Insch'Allah), it's one of the States that seems nicest to live in.

California is great, especially the coastal areas and the northern forests around Mount Shasta.

Massachusetts has its problems but I'm in general content with it and happy to be from where I am, yeah.

Boston is a lovely city, and if the rural Western Massachusetts is anything like the rural areas I'm familiar with in France (except for having a far better political culture), I think I'd like it a lot too. I don't have much of an opinion of suburban Boston and mid-sized cities, but I doubt they could be bad enough to counteract the rest. The weather would be a huge deterrent to me actually wanting to live there (even when it's hot, it's the worst kind of heat! LA is probably hotter than Boston but it's far more bearable by virtue of being less humid and more windy), but weather isn't everything.

Clear Freedom State.
