We're done with round 1 and there is already an idea about who is stronger, and now things will get serious. Everyone has been put into one of four brackets.

Bracket A

Cosmo Kramer
WMS
Nini2287

vs.

Winfield
Bulmoose88
TD

Bracket B

Dave Hawk
Josh22
Afleitch

vs.

Andrew Berger
Captain Vlad
Bacon King

Bracket C

Boris78
Kashifakhan
Opebo

vs.

Shilly
Wildcard
Colin Wixted

Bracket D

Akno21
Ilikeverin
Speed of Sound

vs.

MasterJedi
DanielX
Fezzy Festoon

Everyone will play agains each peron of the opposite pary in their bracket twice and after this we will eliminate the lowest person in each bracket of each party, leaving us with 16 people in round three.

But, before I can start I need to know how to make the scenario more balanced, because it seems to favor Republicans.

I think, once you get real candidates squaring off against each other, there may not be a GOP bias. I remember the last time we did this, and while the Rs tended to do better in the dummy round...the dems held up later.

There are too many other factors...(random scandals, state of origin quirks, and the abilities of each candidate) which may cause an advantage.

And one other thing...possibly in the game, as in real life, the electoral map may just favor the GOP...to remove that, would possibly make things unrealistic.

Why? Is it still giving you uneven returns? That's just something that you'll have to live with since its not even between Democrats and Republicans in real life either. Just play it through.

EDIT: Actually why don't you try playing with regionalism on? It makes the vote more dependent on the players positions than on the electoral trends text file.

I never really noticed a GOP slant in the game. I think it might just be you mate.

I'm confused. Care to elaborate?

I only have the demo version of the game, so I'm afraid I can't really help you with the alleged GOP bias.

I simulated 10 Bush v. Kerry games in a scenario called America Decides - 2004, which is available off 80soft's website and uses the actual vote totals for Bush and Kerry. It came down to 5 for Bush 5 for Kerry though Kerry did win two or three of those while losing the electoral vote.

With regionalism on the numbers were 6 for Bush, 3 for Kerry, and 1 Tie. So Regionalism in a Bush v. Kerry matchup actually hurts the left wing candidate.

Well P4E comes with a candidate editor so you don't need to edit the text files. If you need some help Bacon King I could do some of the matchups.
