Listening to C-Span a few days ago when Todd and Duffy were taking calls from across the country regarding races and a few people from Connecticut said that Rell had done nothing to stop the corruption in the state. She has done a wonderful job at convincing the people of connecticut that she isnt corrupt. Yet what has she done to stop it. Todd and Duffy agreed that her approval ratings are the most overrated in America but its what happens when someones hand is caught in the cookie jar as the next person gets a huge bounce despite not stopping it.

This is a good point, What has she actually done to earn these astronomical numbers?

Here’s what Sarah Palin represents: being a fat fucking pig who pins “Country First” buttons on his man titties and chants “U-S-A! U-S-A!” at the top of his lungs while his kids live off credit cards and Saudis buy up all the mortgages in Kansas.

I've never been a fan of Rell at all, despite the rest of the forum.  She is really just an average Governor, overall.

She isn't corrupt.  She is infact a very honest and nice person.  For a politician at least.

She did some but not near enough to stop corruption.  She only fired like 5 people from Rowland's administration.  Her chief aid is seemingly pretty corrupt as well...

What if....Lieberman dropped out of the Senate race and left it to Lamont, and ran for governor?

Rell isn't fantastic.  She has done some cleaning of house, but nothing sweeping from what I can tell.  Then again, who can blame her?  You can't burn all of your bridges and still reform successfully.  Still, she is definitely not my favourite.

I'd be happy to vote for Lieberman for Governor... Just nothing that has any impact on foriegn policy.  That said he would need to run as an indy since Dems already have one two many candidates for Gov. =)

No clue who will get my vote for Gov...

Rell is benefiting from low expectations in the wake of the Rowland scandal, and the fact that she has always know how to hit the perfect pitch politically.

She has also not really faced a major challenge as governor.  By the time she took over, the economy was in an upswing, state revenues were growing, and she really hasn't had to face a difficult budget.

Aside from the budget, the governor here really does little.  She hasn't done a whole lot or made a whole lot of proposals, but then she hasn't really pissed many people off either.  She has made symbolic attempts to address long-standing major issues like traffic congestion, deterioration of rail service, and urban violence, but nothing really major.

Much of her popularity is due to her personality and her good public relations.
