This could be an outlier. Although, I never thought Douglas was as strong as the polls suggested.

IIRC, Douglas polled weakly in 2004 (Democrats thought they had a decent chance of winning the seat) and ended up winning by 20 points with Kerry and Leahy on the top of the ticket.  I think Douglas will win by a similar margin this time.
