What type of money is he getting, because if he is, I have not heard about it yet.
Good lord man, you think they're going to announce an exact dollar amount?
I have no idea, but Webb was included as one of the eight challengers the DSCC was giving money to in a press release a few months ago.

On the GOP side, for 2016, look out for Gov. Phill Kline (KS), Gov. Ralph Reed (GA), Gov. JD Hayworth (AZ), Sen. David Vitter (LA), among others.

I wouldn't be so sure about Webb winning this race.
My god, no one said that Webb was definitely going to win this race.....only that it would be competitive.

They did with the other candidates during their first ad buy for the fall released earlier this month. Webb was not on the list.

It may be competetive but it still leans republican because Allen is the incumbant, and VA is a conservative state. I think Allen is going to win but with a reduced margin and he won't win the nomination for president.

And if they do plan on giving him funds, the exact amount MUST be reported. You asked Sam if he wanted an exact dollar amount that the Democrats woudl give. I am saying that, yes, he does. If they are going to give money, they must announce the exact amount.

Look, whether or not I have the figures or whether money will be spent or not is not important. It will all come out when it has actually been done. But in order for it to be done now, it would come out now, which is precisely my point that I made earlier. That's all I have to say on the matter, frankly.

The best "Good Lord man" comment by Scoonie was when he said that being a husband and father meant that someone couldn't be gay. Scoonie (who apparently likes to refer to himself in the third person now also - see the thread about the Bass-Hodes race) obviously didn't remember the most famous coming-out-of-the-closet politician from NJ was not only married but was the father of two. I love when Scoonie is stupid.
Anyway, macaca-gate will be on the voters' minds for a bit longer but it won't last until the Election. Enjoy this time while it lasts, Webb supporters. Allen will win this by eight or more.

Kos and the like should start holding fundraisers for Webb. I'm going to trying to encourage some donations on DU tommorow. Typically just making a post pointing this sort of thing out on there can net a couple hundred bucks.

I never said that! Please learn reading comprehension.
I was merely responding to your ridiculous accusation that Ron Wyden was gay, despite just getting married a second time the year before.

I can't see Allen winning by double digits, or by less than three points, at this point. I may be wrong, but something would probably have to happen for things to change (like Sam Bunning going stark barking mad and almost losing to a joke opponent as a result)

Hotline said that this race will get close just like TN, but Ford and Webb will fall short of victory unless there is a wave.

I really think Wyden is a closet homosexual.
Good lord man, Ron Wyden has two kids and is on his second marriage (just got married again last year). He's not gay.
"...my truth is that I am a gay American." - Former Governor James E. McGreevey - married and father of two girls.
You used the fact that Ron Wyden was married and had two kids as a reason for why he wasn't gay. I then brought up that a certain former Governor of New Jersey was married and had two kids and I think he recently came out of the closet. For some reason, you didn't respond. Good Lord man!

Barbara Boxer set up a Webb contributions committee last week in California. In six hours they raised $10,000. I don't know how much that group has raised by now, but it's incredible how fast people can respond to this sort of thing.
By the way, despite the downplaying of this race by the Republicans, I still think we have a shot here. And the increased frequency of polls indicating a close race proves that I may be right.

You cannot predict Webb will win until he has taken the lead and he has yet to do so.
Huh? Who's rule is that? Must have missed the meeting... Isn't the nature of a prediction an extrapolation into the future, not a reiteration of the past?
Allen continues to make things worse, retracts his apology, blames media for his racist remarks. This guy is looking goofier by the minute. If he wraps himself in the confederate flag, it's over.

Good for him. Would it have been absurd to think that Jim McGreevey was gay after he was married a second time (he was also married twice)?
My point is that it isn't crazy to think that someone is gay just because they have been married before or more than once.
